The figures in this range represent the heavy infantry of the Ionian Greek City States of the coast of Asia Minor during the 4th-6th centuries BC. They can also be used for Lydians and Carians. Lydia was a major enemy of Archaemenid Persia (as were the Ionians) Both also fought for the Persians during the Graeco-Persian Wars.
