25/28mm   LYDIAN / IONIAN GREEK

 

The figures in this range represent the heavy infantry of the Ionian Greek City States of the coast of Asia Minor  during the 4th-6th centuries BC. They can also be used for Lydians and Carians.

Lydia was a major enemy of Archaemenid Persia (as were the Ionians) Both also fought for the Persians during the Graeco-Persian Wars.

LYD10 Lydian open handed officer/standard bearer. Helmet, "violin" shield & spear

LYD11 Lydian open handed officer/standard bearer. Helmet, large crescent pelta & spear.

LYD12 Lydian Heavy cav. / officer in stilt helmet with spear.

LYD13 Lydian Heavy cav. / officer in semi circular crested helmet  with spear.

LYD14 Ionian  cavalry  officer / general. Corinthian helmet and spear.

LYDH1 Horse with decorated saddle cloth.

  For variety, horses from the Persian  and Greek range can also be used.
